My Guide to Maui
Maui is home to the most beautiful beaches off the West Coast and embodies the true essence of Hawaii. With an abundance of sun and adventure, it is also the perfect place to find serenity and peace. Maui is one of the eight Hawaiian islands you can choose to visit, but it is the second most popular for good reason!
It is nothing short of one-of-a-kind experiences and each town has a deep history and culture so different from the next. My stay felt so short because I wanted to explore the whole island but for now, I leave you with my travel guide and recommendations while here on the spectacular island of Maui.

Enjoy the sunset with a nice dinner at Spago.

WHAT TO DO
Take a day trip to Paia and Lanai
Whenever I am in Maui, I always try and make it a point to take a day trip out to Paia or Lanai. Both spots are gorgeous little towns that bolder two very different lifestyles. Paia is known for their surfing culture and I enjoy watching the surfers ride the waves throughout the day. I usually end my day in Paia with a nice cocktail and meal from Mama’s Fish House, which is one of the most famous restaurants in Maui. While Paia is known for surfing and the fish house, Lanai is the spot to indulge in some serious R&R. I usually travel to Lanai when I want a quiet break from traveling or a deep tissue massage. Either way, both towns are absolutely lovely in their own rights and are the perfect places for a daytime excursion.
Ride bikes down a volcano
If you are an adrenaline junkie and want to partake in an activity that will get your heart rate pumping, look no further than the plethora of bike tours that are offered throughout Maui. One of my favorite tours is the Cycle to the Sea excursion, which starts you up at the top of Haleakala Volcano and treks you all the way down to the shores of Maui. It is a gorgeous ride and one that starts pretty early in the morning, but is truly worth it.
Where to Shop
Shop with local artisans
When I’m in Maui, I always try my best to shop with local merchants. I am in love with the boutiques at the Four Seasons, as they have a wide array of luxury items that I adore, but I always try looking for unique pieces from the local artisans around the islands. There is something so special and amazing about buying a handcrafted piece, and I always try and look for eclectic pieces that will add a touch of Hawaiian charm to my home.
Kona and Maui are two locations that hold so many memories and specials moments for me. They are places that are rich in culture, diversity, and island hospitality. I hope you enjoyed these guides and a quick reminder that you can always follow along with me and my travels through my Instagram stories and posts!
